The Louis Armstrong House Museum, the Forum for Cultural Engagement, the U.S. Embassy Moscow and the American Center Moscow announce the launch of The Real Ambassadors Jazz Education Program.
Led by celebrated American jazz musicians and educators, The Real Ambassadors Jazz Education Program will feature monthly, virtual workshops exploring multiple styles and facets of jazz. Each one-hour workshop will focus on a distinct style of jazz music, a recorded performance/educational element, and a live workshop on specific musical skills. The program is appropriate for young music enthusiasts and music students.

New Orleans Jazz
Join two-time Grammy-nominated trumpeter Alphonso Horne, who has played with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett among others, and celebrated pianist Chris Pattishall, named by Wynton Marsalis as one of the top five jazz musicians under thirty to watch, for a workshop on New Orleans jazz. Learn about the specific roles of horn players in a New Orleans jazz band, and explore how the unique musical components (melody, obligato, tailgating) make up this distinctive American sound.
